About Me
I am Dr. Chandrashekhar Himmatrao Patil, an academician,
researcher, and mentor with over 19 years of teaching experience
and more than 5 years of academic administrative leadership in
higher education. I currently serve as an Associate Professor in
the School of Computer Science at MIT World Peace University,
Pune, where I have also served as the Head of School.
I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science specializing in Digital Image
Processing and am recognized as an approved Ph.D. guide. I have
successfully supervised 3 Ph.D. scholars (with 1 ongoing),
contributing to impactful research and academic excellence. My
research portfolio includes over 100+ publications, including 16
Scopus-indexed journal papers, 36+ international conference
publications, 2 Scopus book chapters, and 1 book publication.
I also hold 8 patents (5 granted and 3 published) and 3
copyrights, reflecting my dedication to innovation and real-world
technological advancements. My academic leadership includes key
roles such as Chairman of the Board of Studies, Member of the
Academic Council, IQAC, and Chair of the Entrance Examination
Committee for multiple academic sessions.
I have been honored with the Ideal Teacher Award (2024) and the
Best Teaching Staff Award (2015), acknowledging my commitment to
student-centric, value-driven education. My core research
interests include Digital Image Processing, Natural Language
Processing, Medical Imaging, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Signal
Processing, Computer Networks, and Algorithm Design.
With a passion for research, innovation, and academic development,
I strive to foster a learning environment that promotes
excellence, creativity, and technological growth aligned with
global educational standards.
